The Help Fair was held at the Church of theIncarnation in Charlottesville, the Fair hosted 28 agencies and organizations who
provided education and information about services offered to the Latino community. Forty to sixty people received
health services from five organizations, including the Mexican Consulate. Services included eye exams and glaucoma screenings,
cardiovascular and diabetes screenings, and tests for hearing problems. The children were entertained through outdoor games
and activities led by the Albermarle/Charlottesville Health Department and Los Promotores de Salud. The children were also
delighted to sit in the Fire Truck and be entertained as they learned what the volunteer fire fighters do during a visit from
the Seminole Trail Fire Department.
